Why I Workout...

Lately, people have been asking me this question:
"Kelsey, why do you workout so much?"

Here are my reasons:
  • I have FUN doing it!

Dance it Out, Zumba, and Spin are so much fun! I love music, and these classes have the music blaring! I can just go into a class, work up a sweat, and sing my little heart out at the same time. These classes are so much fun, I don't even feel like I'm "working out."

  • I like having muscles and being in shape.

It feels good to see actual results of my hard work in the weight room. I enjoy being fit because it helps me feel confident. (Not saying that physical appearance is the most important thing, but it is a confidence booster) True beauty comes from inside.

  • It is a hobby.

Honestly, if I think about what my life would be like without exercise, I think it would be pretty boring. I have a nice routine, and it would be weird without having a workout to fill that block of time.

  • It's a stress reliever.

Sometimes, when I'm feeling stressed, nothing feels better than going on a walk or going to the gym. I can just listen to my music and not worry about anything else. The rush of endorphins just lifts my mood!

I do exercise that I ENJOY. I don't compare my workouts to other people's workouts. Everybody and every body is different. God made us all UNIQUE. It would be super boring if we were all exactly the same. That being said, I want to encourage you to do what YOU enjoy best! Don't worry about what other people think.

    some people think it is weird that I love to workout, but honestly whenever I take rest days I seriously cannot wait until the next morning to get a good sweat session in - I love feeling strong and fit!

  6. Beautiful! Love all these reasons! I also workout because it helps me with time management - if I know I have to squeeze in a morning workout, I'll go to bed earlier and be more productive all day!
